Create login rules to access your event

Using this function, it is possible to choose the information format (per characters) that the participants must use when registering at the event, when purchasing tickets, when accessing the app, among other possibilities.

Functionality rules

To make this feature available, you need to go to settings, company level, and mark the option USERNAMES (as shown below).

How can I create information rules, (masks), so my attendees can register?

With the USERNAMES tool active, you can register your attendees without their email as the username to log into the app, to fill in the forms, to buy tickets, etc.

You can choose different types of structure to use as a usersame, such as:

-          Passport number, ID number, social security number, enrollment number, among others.

After choosing the structure, go to EVENT – CONFIGURATION – DEFAULT TEXTS

And click in + ADD HOLDER, on the left upper corner.

A new window will appear

Choose the option “FORM – USERNAME” in the placeholder type field.

Below, in the value field, you can add the new text that will appear to your attendees. (In case you have chosen Social Security numbers only, register Social Security numbers only).

As you can see, when choosing the option “FORM – USERNAME”, a third field appear: Field Mask

Now you must add the Mask value you wish to appear when your attendees registered. Keep in mind:

-          # indicates any “character or symbol”, allowing the attendees to type numbers, leters, dash, etc.

-          If you wish to use an official structure (with dashes, period) you can add it to the field, and this structure will appear at the registration form.

Now, when registering, people can use the defined structure (11 characters maximum).

This new configuration reflects to other features and accesses.

How does the username mask affects the Registration Form and the Custom Forms?

In the registration form, at the field username, the attendee must enter information based in the mask previously defined, as Social Security numbers only - maximum 11 characters, for example. Notice that the field name has already changed on the form.

Any other type of information beyond de 11 characters defined by the # cannot be used or registered.

How does the username mask affects the Custom List?

At the custom list, in the username field, you must enter information based in the defined Mask (example: Social Security numbers only - maximum 11 characters).

Any other type of information beyond de 11 characters defined by the # cannot be used or registered.

How does the username mask affects the Attendees List?

In the attendees feature, in the username field, you must enter the information based in the mask previously defined, as Social Security numbers only - maximum 11 characters, for example.

Any other type of information beyond de 11 characters defined by the # cannot be used or registered.

How does the username mask affects the App Login?

At the moment, the username masks allows the attendee to type any information he wants, but in case he doesn’t type exactly what is registered in the Platform / Event, the attendee won’t be able to login to the app, as their access information is not correct.

This means: the information registered in Attendees must be the one used to access the app.

In case the username mask has "–" or "." , those characters must be typed in the App login.

Example:

When registering,in Default Texts, the Social Security number mask with “.” and “-“, these characters are automatically registered in the event.

Attendees List (PEOPLE – ATTENDEE) (the special characters are added automatically):

Therefore, when accessing the app, the attendee must fill in the complete number. To log into the app, the user MUST manually add the special characters, is does not automatically filled.
