How do I create tabs?

To create tabs, you will need to select either Live App or Web app. The Virtual Rooms option will only allow you to customize the tabs that already exist.

There are two types of tabs you can choose from when creating a tab:

  • Custom tabs
  • Website sections
If you select the option Live App, you will be able to create custom tabs. If you select the option Web app, you will be able to create either custom tabs or website sections.

Custom tabs

To create custom tabs, follow the steps below:

  1. Select Live app or Web app from the menu on top.
  2. Click on + New item. The New item pop-up box will appear.
  3. Enter your Item title and Item link to the corresponding fields. Alternatively, you can also upload your own file using the red folder button.

Website sections

Once you select this option, you will need to set up the items below:

  • Item title: you should type in the tab title that should be displayed on the Virtual Lobby menu
  • Template: you will have a list of website template options for you to choose from on the dropdown bar. The template will determine your tab's layout. You can see what the tab is going to look like under Preview.
When creating a tab from a website section, you don’t need to use the same template you have selected for your website. Besides that, you can create two tabs from website sections using different templates. For example, you can create a Photos section using the Callisto template, and a Sponsors section using the template Andromeda-light.
  • Section: you will have a list of website sections options for you to choose from on the dropdown bar. Click here for further information on website sections.
The website sections created as a tab will not be displayed on your website. For it to be displayed on your website, you will need to set it up on Marketing > Landing pages > Website. Click here to learn how to add sections to your website.

Once you have set it all up, press Create.
